Custom Fluidpower demonstrated its specialist hydraulics capabilities with a skill test involving basketballs, witches hats and a remote-control mini excavator at the Queensland Mining & Engineering Expo (QME).
The game proved a hit with visitors to the Mackay expo, with the remote control technology allowing visitors to manoeuvre the excavator arm and aim to achieve the fastest time to get all three basketballs in the bucket. The fastest time of the show was 14.61 seconds, held by one of the show’s younger visitors.
This remote technology is applicable in a working environment by enhancing operator safety, comfort and productivity. Although the system at QME was hard wired, it could also be set up on a wireless basis and operated completely remotely.
