Non-return valve

Most pipeline systems require some form of fluid control whereby it is essential to maintain flow in one direction, operating automatically to prevent flow in the other direction using a non-return valve.

The Norval cone and diaphragm non-return valve has design features which practically approach the optimum to both the main function of the 'check valve' and the many secondary important factors which surround it.

A non-return valve should be able to:

  • shut off tight even at low differentials
  • open at small differentials
  • have low resistance to flow
  • operate silently
  • give long, trouble-free service
  • be easy to install
  • operate efficiently, within a large flow range

Most valves on the market can manage some of these requirements — a Stokes Norval non-return valve is designed to do them all. If you use non-return valves, examine the parameters of the silent operating Stokes Norval non-return valve.
