The IAC-R and IAC-P Integrated Axis Controller series by Rexroth allow for simplified construction and commissioning. In these modules the drive and control has combined intelligent control electronics with reliable hydraulic drive units. The fieldbus-capable axis controllers feature numerous functionalities which have been optimised for the desired fields of application, and they use decentralised intelligence to reduce the load on the higher-level control system. Far less wiring work speeds up the commissioning significantly and creates new possibilities for innovative machine concepts.
The IAC-R valve offers position, pQ and force control functionalities as well as changeover control. DIN 66025-compliant NC functionality adapted for hydraulic applications is also integrated. Up to four analog sensors for pressure and position, or one incremental or absolute travel measuring system each with two analog sensors, can be connected to the IAC axis controller. The compact, intelligent drive units comprise analog and digital interfaces for nominal and actual values as well as a fieldbus connection.
The IAC-P valve features an integrated digital controller with open-loop and closed-loop control algorithms for pressure, differential pressure and volume flow control. With its differential pressure measurement, the controller can be used to configure real volume flow control without an additional manometric balance and external machine sensors.
The IAC-P is a fully coordinated unit comprising pressure sensors, valve and controller. Thanks to the optimised algorithms and characteristic diagrams, it allows for flexible adjustment to new applications.
IAC axis controllers can be used in both open-loop and closed-loop operation. Consistent communication capability through CANopen or Profibus means that the higher-level control system has access to all relevant data for process monitoring. The IAC valves come with condition monitoring capability and adapt to all common control architectures.
