Being radial piston they exhibit good starting torque characteristics as well as high overall efficiency even at lower speeds.
Features include: cylinders are pivoted ensuring there is no transmitted side load; piston seals are nylon giving high sealing efficiency with no leakage; piston retaining rings sustain total cavitation with no damage; the pistons are hydrostatically balanced keeping friction losses low; temperature variations do not effect the performance of the distributor; disc cage design of crankshaft bearing allows high-speed operation.
