    Praher Valves has expanded its range with the new-generation K4 Swing Check Valve in PVC, PP, PPGF (polypropylene glass filled) and PVDF.
  • Large hygienic pump
    APV has introduced what it claims is one of the largest, high-efficiency, hygienic centrifugal pumps. The pump is capable of transferring up to 750 m3/h and performs optimally at 50 mWc and 600 m3/h with high efficiency. For bulk applications, a single W+ 50/600 can replace several parallel process lines with parallel pipe work and electrical wiring. This makes the plant set-up less complicated and reduces the requirement for spare parts. On electricity alone, calculations show that if one W+ 50/600 pump is installed instead of two smaller pumps, total energy costs can typically be reduced by approximately $6000.00 a year (based on 2700 running hours).
  • Vacuum safety valves
    The Piab Vactrap COAX is a check valve with an integrated Pi12-2 COAX cartridge for decentralised systems and a built-in blow-off valve to provide a quick release of objects. It has external blow-off possibilities and a special version with an interconnected (x-drilled) vacuum pump and blow-off connection is also possible, making it suitable for ejectors with an integrated blow-off valve, such as Piab's AVM models.

  • Swing check valve
    Praher Valves' K4 Swing Check Valve in PVC, PP, PPGF (polypropylene glass filled) and PVDF is suitable for applications involving water and most chemicals, up to 10 bar pressure.
  • Air isolation safety valve
    The monitor in the XSz safety valve uses integral air logic incorporated into the pilot-supply air system. No moving parts exist. Each main valve poppet is monitored on each cycle by an air chamber and orifice. This design feature eliminates the need for electrical monitoring of the valve and has been assessed as conforming to AS 4024.1 1996 and may be used in applications to category 4. For those exporting to Europe this valve is also Certified by BG as meeting EN 954-1 1997 (category 4) Safety of Machines - safety related.
  • Valve positioner
    The Yamatake SVP3000 Alphaplus smart valve positioners are microprocessor-based fieldbus-to-pneumatic valve positioners. They can operate seamlessly with other registered field devices as well as host systems in a wide range of control applications. In addition to fieldbus communication, the unit is equipped with an automatic calibration mechanism to allow easy set-up with various types and makes of valves.
  • Solenoid valves for micro-dispensing
    The Lee VHS series micro-dispense valve is a high-speed (1200 Hz), two-way solenoid valve designed for applications that require micro- to nano-litre dispense volumes.
  • Modular microcomponents
    Bürkert's micro-sized valves, pumps and valves range has been engineered for quality and minimum size. It includes the Type 6604 solenoid valve, the 7616 micro dosing unit and the 7604 pump.
  • Conveyor valve
    SMC has released its series VFD direct operated poppet valve for use in zero pressure accumulation conveyor systems. When incorporated with a conveyor system's control logic and sensors, the valve controls the air pressure that is used for roller actuation and roller braking, creating space between products on the conveyor line.

  • Glandless spool
    Most pneumatic solenoid valve manufacturers provide solenoid valves with nitrile seals. The seals are either in the form of O-rings, disc seals or bonded to the spool then surface ground. Over the years, nitrile seals have proved satisfactory. In addition to nitrile (soft seal) valve ranges, Norgren produces a range of ISO Standard valves with 'glandless spool' technology. The glandless valves use a hardened anodised teflon-coated spool and sleeve. The glandless spool and sleeve have no dynamic seals. The spool operates on an air bearing principle that offers several benefits over conventional nitrile soft seal valves. The spool and sleeve are hardened to 62-70 Rockwell C.
  • Heavy-duty thermostat
    Mercoid Controls' Model 862E explosion-proof line voltage thermostat is designed for hazardous-location temperature control. It has a reliable snap-action switch operation in SPDT configuration rated to 480 VAC max. Quickly adjust the setpoint with the external adjustment knob with both °C and °F scales.
  • Safety relay system
    The Vigilante V4 controllers are programmable safety relays that have applications replacing multiple safety relay systems and building complete safety systems where many safety sensors or interlocks are part of the machine safety system.
  • Cruise control option
    The PIAB Cruise Control (PCC) automatically maintains a pre-set level of vacuum to ensure that a consistent vacuum level is provided at the suction point. The PCC allows the pump to always only consume the energy that the optimised vacuum level requires.
  • Pilot stage relief
    The Sun Model RBAN is a 2-port, electro-proportional, pilot stage relief with 'inverse function'. With no power to the coil, the valve defaults to the user-specified setting. Increasing the command signal to the coil progressively reduces the setting of the pilot valve.
  • Temperature switch
    The Tecsis CF30 temperature switch offers a suitable control device for switching high outputs of up to 30 A.
