  • Fluid energy transducer developed for sensors
    Researchers of the Fraunhofer Technology Development Group TEG have created a fluidic energy transducer that has successfully managed to convert fluidic energy (from air or water) into electricity. The fluid transducer could enable sensors used in, for example, pneumatic plants to supply themselves with energy in the future.

    The TML KP series pore pressure gauges are used to measure pore water pressure in ground, sheet piles, piles, boreholes, etc. The model KPA-PA is attached to a pile, diaphragm wall, etc and buried in the ground to measure the pore water pressure. The KPB-PA is buried directly into a borehole to measure pore water pressure in bedrock.

  • Cylinder position sensor
    The Turck Q25L sensor is a magnetically actuated linear displacement sensor designed to detect piston position on pneumatic cylinders. Available with measuring ranges of 100, 125, 160 and 200 mm, the sensor is suitable for applications that require precise signal transmission over long measuring distances, such as pneumatic pumps, slides, blanking or moulding systems. By using an external magnet as a position indicator, the sensor may be used in additional applications such as moving platforms, point line measurement or other specially designed equipment where a cylinder is not present.
  • Indicating pressure switch/pressure transmitter
    The Noshok 800 series indicating pressure switch/pressure transmitter provides continuous pressure monitoring and allows programming of the setpoints without pressurising.

  • Sensor on pneumatic cylinder
    Turck has added a compact WIM45 magnetic field sensor to its line of cylinder position sensors. It provides a direct analog output for determining the position of a piston magnet on all types of pneumatic cylinders, delivering greater accuracy than indirect analog monitoring with potentiometers or linear position systems.

    Turck has expanded its line of pressure sensors to include a specialty sensor for hazardous areas. The PT4300 is a media isolated stainless steel pressure sensor for use in oil and gas, refrigeration, gas compression, test stands and industrial OEM applications.

    Dwyer Instruments has launched the TFLS tuning fork level switch incorporating a piezoelectric crystal that vibrates the fork at its natural frequency.
  • Analog position sensing for pneumatic grippers
    The sensing components of the Micro-BIL mini-sensor in Balluff's range of inductive displacement sensors are housed in a conventional cylinder switch body designed for direct attachment in the widely used T-slot. The processing electronics, which are separate from the sensing head, can be located wherever convenient, such as on the side of the gripper.
